AEON MALL Co., Ltd has decided to open its second shopping centre AEON MALL Ha Dong in Hanoi, after AEON MALL Long Bien, marking its fifth shopping centre in Vietnam. This project covers an area of 9.5 hectares and is expected to open in 2019 to provide diversified products, services, and information to locals.
Dak Lak attracts USD3.3 billion investment in solar projects 

Dak Lak has granted licenses and signed memoranda of understanding with several companies this month for the development of solar projects worth USD3.3 billion to increase the use of renewable power resources. In addition, Viet Nam’s Long Thanh Infrastructure Development and Investment Company also plans to invest USD308 million in a 250MW solar installation in the country.



Hanoi Starts High-Tech Program to Manage Parking Lots

In order to improve the efficiency of Hanoi’s parking lots, the capital’s People’s Committee recently approved a pilot program to implement a computerized system and automatic devices managing the city’s parking areas. The hi-tech project will be carried out by the Hanoi Car Park Exploitation Company, which will start with three parking lots in busy districts. The overhead cost for implementation is around USD2,193 - USD2,631, including the rent.

Da Nang continues leading PCI ranking

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) has recently announced the Provincial Competitive Index (PCI) 2016, which sees Da Nang city continuing topping for the seventh time and the fourth consecutive year.


N​iwa Foundry Vietnam inaugurates new plant at Danang Hi-tech Park

Niwa Japan officially opened the new plant of Niwa Foundry Vietnam at Danang Hi-tech Park. The project was built on a 3.11ha site with total investment capital of approximately USD30 million. The plant will manufacture engine castings for hydraulic parts, and high precision mechanical parts used for industrial machinery including excavators and bulldozers and agricultural machinery including harvesters and tractors.

HCMC to relocate banished street food vendors

The city leaders have announced plans to organize a street food area from June this year to support poor vendors affected by the sidewalk cleanup campaign. In order to preserve its street culture, the plan also aims to support around 500 street food businesses that have been affected by the city’s sidewalk revolution.


HCMC to build four hospitals on outskirts

According to the City People’s Committee, HCMC will build some new hospitals in outskirt districts to ease crowding in central areas. Four hospitals include a Pediatrics Hospital in Binh Chanh District and general hospitals in Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, and Thu Duc Districts.
